Midway through the Grand Ball at Lord Smythe’s residence, Colonel Deevers introduced me to Doctor Mitsui. The good Doctor seems to be quite the genius in mechanical works and had on display a autonamous servant he had built. Man shapped and almost three meters tall the automation was able to rudimentarily converse through an ingenious set of bellows and arranged reeds of birch. Yew being apparently too flexible to create sounds audible to the human ear. The good Doctor was in England looking for financiers and had found some interest in the persons of Mssr. Davenport and Lord Willington. The two esteemed men have joint ownership in a shipping concern near Portsmouth and believe that they could reduce their work force by half!
